Oak Lawn Marketing’s BI team manually prepared weekly performance reports, delivering them to senior leadership by the end of Monday. However, leadership required these reports at the start of the day to assess weekend performance and prepare for the 1 PM leadership meeting, creating a pressing need for a more efficient reporting process.
Sven collaborated with the IT department to evaluate and implement a suitable BI tool, selecting Business Objects for its robust automation capabilities. He developed automated systems to generate both weekly and daily performance reports, ensuring delivery to executive leaders by 9 AM each day. Sven also established a dedicated portal for on-demand access, enabling leadership to retrieve reports as needed.
This new system provided leadership with timely insights at the start of the workweek, enhancing their ability to respond quickly to performance variances. The automation not only improved decision-making during leadership meetings but also freed up BI team resources, used to pursue other value-add initiatives.
